WriteCompass

About

A production system for turning knowledge into publications.

WriteCompass was built around a simple observation: the people who have the most to say are often the same people whose knowledge is scattered across documents, recordings, presentations, notes, and old drafts. The material is there. It just needs a place to become work.

Philosophy

Three principles.

The work belongs to the author.

Your manuscript, your material, your decisions. WriteCompass provides the environment and the tools, but the authorship is yours. What you produce is yours to publish, license, or distribute as you choose.

Material before ideas.

The blank page is not where your work begins. You already have sermons, interviews, research, frameworks, notes, and drafts. The job is to gather them, understand them, and shape them into something coherent.

Production is part of the promise.

A manuscript is not the finish line. A serious publication needs front matter, references, proper formatting, export-ready files, and the preparation to take it into the world. Writing is part of the journey. Finishing is the goal.

The Production System

From knowledge to publication.

Every project follows the same six-stage path. Each stage builds on the one before it. Nothing is skipped, nothing is decorative.

1

GATHER

Collect the material that contains your knowledge.

2

SHAPE

Discover themes, connections, and structure.

3

WRITE

Develop the manuscript with sources close at hand.

4

VERIFY

Connect claims to evidence.

5

PRODUCE

Prepare the publication.

6

PUBLISH

Take the work into the world.

AI

AI helps with the work. You remain the author.

WriteCompass uses AI where intelligent assistance can move the work forward: analyze material, find connections, reshape passages, compare sources, synthesize research, challenge arguments, and find supporting evidence.

But the important decisions remain yours. You decide what the work means. You decide what belongs in it. You decide what gets published.

You already have the material.

Now make something of it.
